Now Hiring: Engineering Maintenance Apprentice

We are recruiting for a motivated individual to join the Cooks team on a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship course. Combining on the job experience and training at Norwich City College, the four-year programme will result in being a fully competent industrial door engineer. 

Within this role you will learn to undertake servicing, repairs and maintenance, maintain electrical systems, carry out installation tasks, assist with machine refurbishment and repairs, produce mechanical assemblies, and more.

Main duties will include:

  • Learning to undertake comprehensive servicing – including repairs, maintenance and new works
  • Maintain electrical equipment/systems
  • Carry out installation and maintenance tasks in both mechanical and electrical fields
  • Assist with machine refurbishment and/or repairs
  • Produce components using hand fitting techniques
  • Produce mechanical assemblies
  • Carry out minor works projects
  • Comply with statutory regulations and Health & Safety procedures
  • Maintain best practices across all jobs
