Cooks Industrial Doors recently completed a project for a business in Essex. We installed three new doors for their premises, each with different features and benefits. Here is a brief overview of the doors we installed and why they make a great choice for any business.
Sectional Overhead Door
The Hormann SPU F42 sectional overhead door is a versatile and efficient solution for an industrial or commercial building. It consists of panels that slide up and down along tracks, creating a large opening that can accommodate vehicles, machinery, and goods.
The door is operated by a 400v 3-phase motor with emergency hand chain, and includes impulse control with closing edge safety sensors. The client chose a Stucco textured external panel finish in RAL 8028 Terra Brown, and an internal colour of RAL 9002 Grey White as standard.

Personnel Door - D1
The personnel door is a durable and secure design that functions as a simple entrance and exit for staff members. The chosen D1 model is made of steel with mineral wool infill, providing thermal insulation and fire resistance. The door has a type C single rebate welded frame with four stainless steel butt hinges and dog bolts. The door is fitted with a Hooply multi-point sashlock with lever handle set and a Securefast TS007 euro profile cylinder and thumbturn. The door also has a Hoppe AR5500 surface mounted closer, a low profile aluminium threshold, and frame seals. The door is finished in van dyke brown colour.
We installed one personnel door for our client to fit the following dimensions:
The door is accredited by STS201-PAS24, which means it meets the standards for enhanced security performance.
Fire Exit Door - D2
Fire exit doors are essential safety features for industrial buildings. They allow quick and easy escape in case of an emergency, while preventing unauthorised access from outside. Like the personnel door above, this door is made of steel with mineral wool infill, providing thermal insulation and fire resistance. The door also has the same type C single rebate welded frame with four stainless steel butt hinges and dog bolts.
However, because it functions as a fire exit, this door is also equipped with an Exidor 703B/30S auto-bolting 3-point surface mounted panic device with crash bar, which releases the bolts when pushed. The door also has an Exidor 710 external access device with lever handle, which allows entry from outside when unlocked.
The door has prominent 'Push Bar To Open' and 'Fire Escape Keep Clear' signs.

The door is accredited by STS202 BR2, which means it meets the standards for burglary resistance.
