Members of the Cooks Industrial Doors team, along with fellow local businesses and partners, were recently invited to attend a behind the scenes tour and dinner experience at Carrow Road - the home of Norwich City Football Club.
Many of our team are season ticket holders and can regularly be found at Carrow Road on a Saturday afternoon taking in the energy and atmosphere from their seats in the stands. This was a rare opportunity for them to see what goes on behind the scenes. From the tunnel area to the home team dressing room, they were treated to an insight into the level of preparation that goes into every home game.
Without a doubt, the highlight of the tour was experiencing the view from the pitchside and sitting in the dugout. It really does give you an entirely different appreciation for the stadium itself and the atmosphere that Philippe Clement and his team must experience during a game.
The tour reinforced the importance of supporting the local community. Norwich City has always been more than a football club. Through its many community initiatives, most notably the Community Sports Foundation, the club plays a huge role in supporting the people of Norfolk and offers support for people of all ages, both on and off the pitch.
As a Norwich City Football Club Community Partner, Cooks is proud to support an organisation that shares similar values to our own. We strongly believe that local businesses should play an active role beyond the services they provide. Whether that be through the sponsorship of local football teams, like Stoke United U11s, or supporting charitable causes, such as Break’s GoGo Safari, we are always looking for new ways to support the community that has supported us for over six decades.
The evening was a fantastic opportunity for our team to spend time together away from the workplace and to develop new relationships with other businesses from across the region.
