Roller Shutter Door Upgrade for John Innes Centre

The set of four doors on an outbuilding at the John Innes Centre had seen better days. We were contracted to replace the rusty old rollers with smart and secure External Hormann Decotherm SB rolling shutter doors with hoods.

An environmentally conscious company like John Innes will appreciate the thermal insulation value of these Hormann doors: they offer a stunning thermal performance of 4.1 W/(m²*K). That’s nearly four times more efficient at preventing heat loss than concrete blocks!

The double-skinned galvanised steel doors with HFCF-CFC free polyurethane rigid foam sandwich core also have a soundproofing acoustic value of 18 dB. Hormann’s unique concave inner face ensures the curtain rolls up efficiently and with minimum friction to reduce headroom requirement. The innovative hinge technology protects against dust and damp.
