Festive Bakes, Bright Jumpers and a Brilliant Total for NANSA

Before the year fully winds down, the Cooks team managed to fit in one last bit of Christmas cheer - our charity bake sale and festive jumper day. It brought a splash of colour to the showroom and offices, along with an impressive spread of homemade bakes that didn’t last long once breaktime rolled around.

The table filled up quickly with everything from gingerbread loaf and carrot cake to brownies, brookies, and a few showstoppers that looked almost too good to slice. As ever, the enthusiasm to get involved (and the lack of restraint around cake) made sure nothing went to waste.

Judging, Winners and a Great Atmosphere

We were pleased to welcome Maddi from NANSA as our guest judge. She approached the task with real festive spirit, working her way through the entries before naming the Victoria Sponge Santa Cake as this year’s winner. Its creator earned a £20 M&S gift card - and, more importantly, bragging rights until next Christmas.

So far, the event has raised just over £120 for NANSA, and we’re delighted with the response. The enthusiasm across the team made the fundraiser a real success and a great way to support a local charity we care about.

A Great Way to Round Off the Year

Today’s bake sale wasn’t just about the fundraising - it was a reminder of the value of taking a moment to come together after a busy year of installations, call-outs and projects across the region. Between the colourful jumpers, the steady stream of visitors to the cake table and the general mood in the building, it created a real sense of warmth to carry us into the festive break.

A big thank you to everyone who baked, judged, donated, or simply turned up ready to support the cause. It was a brilliant way to end the year, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again in 2026.
