The sectional overhead door on the Old Carrot Wash Building at a farm near Woodbridge had seen better days. The owners of this large property contacted Cooks Doors to take down and remove the old door and replace it with a Hörmann SPU F42 Double skinned insulated sectional door.
The structural opening oon the Old Carrot Wash Building is 4680mm square. We supplied and installed a high performance power operated sectional door with 3rd party safety certification. Specifications included:
Safety features include a dead-man’s control or torque limit on impulse control, self-holding gears to hold the door in the event of cable or spring failure (Anti-drop safeguard), and an anti-slack cable device.
The door panel is composed of double skinned galvanised steel and HFCF & CFC-free polyurethane rigid foam sandwich core finished with polyester stucco embossed coat on both sides.
The locking mechanism is a standard shoot bolt complete with security anti-lift device.
To provide vision through the door, the design included 12 Type A compound windows within zinc die-cast frames.
The door is opened and closed by a 400v 3 phase operator controlled from a pre-wired control unit (with emergency hand chain operation in case of power failure).
