The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has opened up the second round of the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF). Under this scheme, farmers can access grants which cover up to 50% of the cost of products which support animal health and welfare. Grants are available for farmers looking to improve the conditions of livestock including sheep, cattle, pigs and poultry.

Many of the Galebreaker products that Cooks Industrial Doors supply and install are designed to create healthy and productive livestock environments, and thus may be eligible for the new funding. If you were looking to upgrade your barns with any of the products listed, it is definitely worth your while to learn more about this new source of government financial support.

Eligible Galebreaker Products

Claim up to 50% of the cost of these products with the FETF grant:

  • Rollerscreen
  • Agridoor Classic (and Classic Plus)
  • Agridoor Manual or Electric
  • Agridoor Pro Plus

Galebreaker Products Not Included in the Grant

Unfortunately, these popular Galebreaker products are not supported by the grant funding in this round:

  • Bayscreen
  • Maxidoor
  • Trackscreen

This initiative is one of those rare situations where everybody benefits: animal welfare is improved, farmers are incentivised to upgrade their outbuildings into more suitable livestock habitats, and the local rural economy gets a much-needed boost!
