Hormann Roller Shutter Door for Bentwaters Parks

Our roller shutter team returned to Bentwaters Parks in Woodbridge, an air base formerly used by the RAF and by the US Air Force during the cold war - and now a leading film and television studio. The site in Suffolk is home to a production facility, including a jet engine testing building that we previously installed 7 huge Hormann doors for. More recently, we returned to the site to provide a Hormann Decotherm roller shutter door for a hardened air shelter.

Ahead of the installation, our team removed an existing roller shutter door and carefully removed the louvre and cut the cladding to increase the opening height to 5400mm. At 4450mm wide, the Hormann Decotherm DD rolling shutter door was installed to provide optimal thermal insulation and weather protection to ensure the building meets modern energy efficiency standards. Made with galvanised steel, extruded aluminium and with double skinned profiles, the door is incredibly strong and offers peak performance in all weather conditions.

Fitted with a control unit and motor inside the doorway and key switch to the exterior, the door can be opened and closed safely and quickly at the flick of a switch. The motor and operator feature safety features to prevent misuse or injury, and a hand chain allows for operation in case of a power failure.
