Discover Our GoGoDragons! Location

Posted on 16/06/2015 The Cooks' family business was established in 1965 and due to expansion was divided into four companies. At Cooks Doors we are proud of being part of a family and the role it plays within the community. As part of Cooks' 50th anniversary the decision was made to sponsor a GoGoDragon which artist, Jessica Copping, designed for us. Our dragon will be part of the GoGoDragons! Trail which begins this Sunday (21st June) and we can't wait for people to pay her a visit. Our Dragon's Location With 84 dragons spread all over Norwich, including a few on Salhouse Road, 'RaptorsFire' is the 38th dragon on the trail and is located in one of the most scenic parts of Norwich. You can find our dragon at Pulls Ferry (accessible via Ferrys Lane) which is just on the river Wensum, opposite Bishop Bridge Road. Pulls Ferry is a one of the most famous medieval landmarks in Norwich and was used for the transportation of stone used to build Norwich Cathedral. You will know you're close to finding 'RaptorsFire' as you will come across the attractive flint buildings which date back to the 15th century. The channel running up to the Ferry however, is much older, in fact it was built before the cathedral. The GoGoDragons! Trail If you've been looking forward to joing the GoGoDragons! Trail this summer as much as we have, then picking up a trail map couldn't be easier. Most shops in the city centre have them to hand, so grab one before Sunday! Once your adventure is over and you've completed the trail, you will have the chance to win two return tickets from Norwich International Airport to any destination within the KLM network. Each dragon holds a plaque with a competition letter, number or symbol. Write these on the entry form, which is part of the trail map, to make a phrase. You can post your entry forms in one of the collection boxes located in John Lewis or Norwich International Airport. 'RaptorsFire' is only a short walk from the train station so is very accessible, but if you are looking to complete the whole trail there are free shuttle buses available during Saturdays and Sundays giving you access to the six GoGoDragons! which are on the outskirts of the city. Our dragon is very excited for the trail and can't wait to get into position. She is very friendly so come and pay her a visit! We've heard she likes to be patted on the nose and loves a selfie, so why not share your photos on her Twitter page and follow her to see what she's up to. GoGo Dragon trail map
