We recently gathered at the beautiful Salhouse Broad for a day of fun, food, and fundraising - and it was everything we hoped it would be!
To celebrate an incredible 60 years in business, we hosted a Family Fun Day for our amazing team and their families. It was the perfect chance to say thank you to the people who make what we do possible, while raising money for a cause that’s close to our hearts: Nansa - the Norfolk and Norwich SEND Association.
Sunshine, Smiles, and Serious Fun
From start to finish, the day was packed with brilliant activities that brought everyone together. There was rounders, volleyball, canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and plenty of laughs in between. Whether you were out on the water or cheering from the shore, there was something for everyone.
Our younger guests (and quite a few adults too!) enjoyed a sweet treat or two from Vintage Chic, who served up a charming selection of Suffolk ice cream and sweets from their lovely vintage trailer. Meanwhile, Barmaster Bars kept everyone cool and refreshed - including with a very special guest star: our own Blindor Cider, served in aid of Nansa!
Food, Music and a Whole Lot of Heart
As the sun began to set, the celebrations kept going. We tucked into some delicious fresh pizzas courtesy of Benissimo, and were treated to fantastic live music from the ever-energetic Move Your Brass. It was the perfect soundtrack to an evening full of dancing, connection, and celebration.
Of course, it wasn't just about having a good time (though we definitely did!) - the event was also about giving back. We're proud to share that we raised £216.65 on the day to support Nansa and the amazing work they do with children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities in Norfolk. On top of that, we're also making our quarterly charity contribution of £250, bringing our total support to £466.65.
A Big Thank You
To everyone who came along, joined in, served food and drinks, provided entertainment, or helped make the day happen - thank you. Celebrating 60 years in business is a huge milestone, and we couldn’t think of a better way to do it than surrounded by our extended Cooks family, all while supporting a brilliant local charity.
