Automatic Doors for Norwich School

Posted on 11/03/2020 Automatic Entrance Doors for The Norwich School Installed by Cooks Doors

The Norwich School, set in the grounds of the Norman cathedral, dates back to 1096 and is amongst the oldest schools in the United Kingdom. The historic school boasts a rich and fascinating past, and many great alumni including Horatio Nelson. Undergoing many changes over the course of its history, the school doesn’t lack any mod cons – and our team recently visited to install energy saving automatic doors.

Ideal for use in areas of high footfall, the telescopic double automatic doors we installed are designed for intensive use, with robust moving parts for a low maintenance solution. The doors are operated by biometric entry, with radio frequency sensor exit – a secure option that allows staff and students to move freely.

The thermally efficient doors reduce energy consumption and better regulate the internal temperature of the hallway and nearby classrooms. The double width opening and top sliding construction of the door gives easy, unobstructed access that’s suitable for all mobility, wheelchair and accessibility needs.

The powder coated frame of the doors have been finished in the schools shade of blue, keeping the design on brand and ensuring consistency with the modern elements of the stunning surroundings.
