Cantilever Gates

A cantilever gate is a type of sliding gate that does not touch the ground while it opens or closes. Instead, it is supported from one end and “cantilevered” over the gate opening.

This type of operation offers several practical, safety, and maintenance benefits compared to traditional sliding or swinging gates. It provides superior performance, durability, and reliability, especially where the ground is uneven or where low maintenance and smooth operation are priorities.

Benefits of a Cantilever Gate

Cantilever gate systems offer several advantages, which contribute to their popularity.

No Ground Track is Required

Cantilever gates are supported by rollers mounted on a post, and the gate “floats” above the ground. This means there is no need for a track to be embedded in the driveway which could be an obstruction for vehicles and pedestrians. These gates are also ideal for uneven, sloped, or rough surfaces where a ground track would be impractical.

Reliable in All Weather Conditions

Since there is no ground contact, debris, snow, ice, or mud won’t jam the system. This makes cantilever gates excellent for cold or dusty environments where traditional sliding gates often fail.

Smooth and Quiet Operation

The rolling mechanism is mounted on bearings and insulated from ground vibration. Results in smooth, low-noise movement, ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Design & Automation Options

Cantilever gates are usually manufactured in steel or aluminium and can have a variety of infills within the main frame structure such as composite boards, timber and decorative embellishments.

Long-Term Durability & Low Maintenance

With no ground track to wear out or clean, maintenance costs are significantly lower. The roller system is typically enclosed or elevated, reducing exposure to dirt and moisture.

Space Efficiency

Because this type of gate opens to the side along the fence line it maximises the usable space in a driveway, loading area or car park.

Swing Gates

A swing gate is one of the easiest ways to secure your driveway or entrance. It swings open on strong hinges, just like a regular door, and you can choose a single or double gate depending on the space you have available.

Because there’s no track along the ground, it’s simple to install and keeps maintenance to a minimum. If you choose an automated version, it makes daily use effortless while giving your property extra security and a neat, professional appearance.

Benefits of a Swing Gate

Where high levels of security are required, and there is limited side room for a cantilever gate system, we can supply and install timber and metal hinged swing gates with full automation.

Versatile Design

Available in single or double leaf, swing gates can suit driveways and entrances of all sizes, giving your flexibility in design and layout.

Flexible Drive Options

You have a choice of installation options. We can fit the drive unit above ground or tuck it under your driveway, so your gate looks smart while working properly.

Safety You Can Trust

Our swing gate installations are all completed to the strict industry standards. You don’t have to worry - everything is built to be safe for everyday use.

Barriers

Rising arm security and safety barriers can be used to control access to your facility and ensure safe movement of people and vehicles. We can supply and install a range of advanced products manufactured by the market leaders in the world of automated access systems.

Benefits of a Barrier

Rising arm barriers make it easy to manage your site safely and efficiently. They’re great for car parks, industrial entrances, and busy loading areas.

Reliable Access Control

Rising arm barriers make it easy to manage who comes and goes, helping to keep vehicles and pedestrians safe and organised throughout the day.

Safety First

Safety is of paramount importance. Every automated barrier we install includes an anti-crushing safety device. This protects vehicles, equipment, and people while it’s in operation.

Secure Locking

Additional security and stability are provided on hydraulic barriers by the hydraulic locking system. This ensures that, whether open or closed, your barrier is kept firmly in place.

Manual Override

If there’s ever a power cut, you can still operate the barrier using the external release key – so you’re never stuck waiting.

Made for Busy Sites

These barriers are built for everyday use. They’re designed to handle constant traffic and keep things running smoothly - whether that be in a car park or an industrial site.

Pedestrian Gates

Pedestrian gates come in a wide variety of styles and materials, from simple and traditional wooden gates to modern, secure aluminium and steel options. They are most commonly used for paths, side entrances, and garden access in residential settings but there are also a number of commercial options available including turnstiles.

Benefits of a Pedestrian Gate

Pedestrian gate systems offer several benefits, this makes them a popular choice for domestic and commercial use.

Enhanced Security

A locked pedestrian gate creates a physical barrier that discourages intruders and unauthorised visitors, such as cold callers. For businesses, an automated pedestrian gate or turnstile system can effectively manage or monitor access, reducing the need for constant human supervision.

Child and Pet Safety

A secure gate provides peace of mind by preventing children and pets from wandering off into the road or leaving the property unsupervised.

Access Control

Pedestrian gates are a key part of an effective access control system, allowing businesses to dictate who can enter and exit the premises.

Secure Visitors and Staff Management

Using a gate with an intercom, keypad, or card reader enables easy control of access for authorised personnel and visitors. This ensures the right people are entering the building and provides a safe environment for employees.

Improved Curb Appeal

With numerous styles and materials available, a well-chosen and maintained gate can complement your home’s aesthetic and boost its visual appeal. This can even increase your property’s value.

Increased Privacy

Gates with solid infill can prevent passers-by from looking into your garden or other outdoor areas, giving you more seclusion.
