Secure Steel Doors for Public Pools

Posted on 27/09/2019 Ipswich Swimming Pool

Fore Street Pools celebrated its 125th birthday earlier this year, the public pools - or baths as they used to be known, first opened in 1894 and have been a popular neighbourhood facility ever since.

On behalf of RG Carter, we removed and replaced a secure entry door as part of building updates. In a bold shade of blue to match the main entrance doors, we supplied and fitted new steel door sets to the private entrances. Safe storage of pool chemicals in the acid store requires adequate ventilation, so we produced steel doors with louvre panels to ensure safe air flow and compliance with regulations.

Before and After, safe entry for acid store

A grand improvement on the previous door which was no longer fit for purpose, the new secure entrance will keep the Victorian building safe for many years to come.
