Industrial Doors Installed for Kettle Foods

Posted on 13/06/2019 Cooks Doors install four large industrial sectional doors at Kettle Foods

For over thirty years the nation’s favourite crisps have been made here in Norwich, from potatoes grown in Norfolk. Kettle Foods, the company behind Kettle Chips, have been growing their business further in recent years, with additional facilities built at their site in Norwich as part of a multimillion-pound project to improve their processes.

To complete the new facility, Cooks Doors supplied and installed four large scale sectional doors and steel door sets. The Hormann SPU 42 sectional doors, each measuring over 6x4 metres, are an excellent choice for the facility. The SPU 42 model doors feature trip-free thresholds to maximise safety, and improve logistics with quick opening robust PU-foamed panels, ensuring a safe workplace for pedestrians and vehicles.

Our teams installed the four sectional doors and steel door sets at the site in Bowthorpe, on behalf of building contractor Draper & Nichols. Site Agent Colin Phillips thanked our teams who stayed late into the evening until all the doors were complete and handed over, he said that “they worked well and cleared away all rubbish from site which is much appreciated.”
