Galebreaker Agridoor for Pet Food Factory

Skinner’s Pet Foods have been making premium dog food products from their mill in Stradbroke, Suffolk for seven generations. Based at the site since 1688, the popular local company is going through a period of expansion and required our services as they upgrade their facilities to deal with increased production. 

We installed a premium electrically operated Galebreaker “Agridoor” rolling door screen for a large structural opening, measuring 5 metres wide and 6 metres tall. The blue PVC coated polyester mesh is incredibly strong, weather resistant, flame retardant and provides ventilation – making it an ideal choice for storing grains and food products. The remote controlled door has simple operation controls, and built in safety features to keep staff safe at all times.

• 3.3 tons tensile strength
• 25% permeable
• Flame retardant – M1 standard
• Galvanised steel guide channels and top coil cowling
• Mounted onto two 125mm x 75mm x 8mm full height steel angles fixed between opening

Technical details of motor operator:

• Tubular type single phase 17rpm
• Operating speed of 9 seconds per metre
• Safety edge and manual override 
• Wired to customers own 13 amp fused supply
• Operation via remote control
